Welcome to Hallelujah!

(Even when it rains in Hallelujah, it pours bright color!)

I’m so glad and grateful, and honored to be here, I could burst!  Destined by the Lord Jesus to be an “Itinerant Encourager”, I’m imagining that I’ve traveled to your town today to bring you abundant good news.  As I look upon all of your beautiful faces, I thank you for inviting me!

Having discovered that many people (both in the Church, and out) have accessed less treasure than what God offers/promises us in His Word, it’s my desire as the Lord leads, to talk about the MUCH MORE He has for those who know Him.  If you’ve come here “by accident”, and you don’t know Him yet—get ready to learn about the MUCH MORE He’s been saving for YOU.

Now, we’re not going to argue denominational doctrine—that’s a rule, okay?  If you missed the memo, Jesus didn’t live and die to give us religion—He came so we could have a personal relationship with God.

So, assuming we agree on the Bible as God’s infallible Word which declares that—Jesus Christ is God Incarnate, and only begotten Son; He came to Earth to reconcile the fallen world to God the Father; He accepted sacrificial death, shed His blood on the Cross for mankind’s sins; as prophesied, He was resurrected from the dead the third day; and as He returned to Heaven, where He’s seated at God’s right hand, He sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter/Helper—it’s not worth fussing about smaller stuff.

I’ll tell you up front, I haven’t attended seminary/Bible college…so the only letters after my name are Rene-Jael, FIC—“Found In Christ”.  What I share comes from a living-breathing-growing intimate relationship with Jesus, and what He’s revealing to me through the Bible.  Pastor Robert Morris (Gateway Church, Southlake, Texas) says that people may argue doctrine—but they can’t argue with your testimony; and that’s what I’m about, testifying to the goodness of God’s grace.

I can’t preach as an expert Bible scholar, I don’t profess to know even “1% of everything”.  There’s always more to learn about God and His Word—and the process of maturing in faith is the adventure of a lifetime which excites me!

I work from various Bible versions, but I kind of favor The Amplified because during times of struggle it speaks “loudly” to me so I can hear better.  Additionally, I use study Bibles and a stack of reference books.  I figure I can’t have too many volumes of God’s Word, and “helps”…when the enemy attacks it’s good to have a full armory, right?

And if I can’t find just the right weapon, I have a blessed armor-bearer sister whom God chose for me:   “though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”  Ecclesiastes 4:12 (English Standard Version)

Although I’ve not studied at Bible college, the Lord has led me to a handful of excellent teachers/pastors via the Internet and TV (TBN, Daystar).  One of the coolest things about our Creator-Father God is that He made us unique individuals (no cookie-cutter folks), and He relates to each of us in a uniquely special way.  I’ll be sharing the names of some teachers I’m partial to, but don’t feel obliged to latch onto them if they’re not your style.

No need to fret—when you’re searching, trust me, God will lead you to ones who speak your language, and you’ll be blessed.  I will advise this, however—if someone doesn’t preach God’s grace, run for the hills and keep seeking.

For God is faithful to answer when we call, He bring us into Truth and Life—Abundant Life“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  John 14:6 English Standard Version; “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 ESV

Life isn’t a picnic everyday…when things aren’t going well the Lord desires that we run to Him so He can untangle the problem, and lead us in His Way.  He cares about every small and HUGE thing that concerns us. He’s covenant-committed to provide for our needs, and more.

If we surrender All to Him, He’ll turn our worst experiences from “bitter water” into sweet blessing.  “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:28, New International Version.

He has wonderful plans for our lives, always wants the BEST for us.  For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you.  Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13 Amplified Bible*

I’ve emailed God that, barring a miracle, I cannot sing and won’t be ready for Heaven’s prime-time choir (but I’ll be a happy camper, cooking for His banquet table)…so some days I’ll share Christian music from YouTube with you 🙂

Let’s enjoy our visits here, because the God I know and love didn’t outlaw FUN.  Surely our Good Father’s heart is gladdened to observe His kids laughing, having a great time.

If you have a burning question about me, you can put it in the Comment Box…I’ll do my best to reply.  Unfortunately, I’m unable to reply to emails, or accept Blog Awards.

See you soon—may you be blessed abundantly!
